General

What areas do you serve?

Computer repair, networking, and on-site cybersecurity work is available in person across Montross, Colonial Beach, King George, and Dahlgren, Virginia. Website design is different — it's fully remote, so we take on website clients anywhere in the United States. See our Service Area page for the full breakdown.

How do I get started?

Call 804-309-0968, email dylan@lit-solutions.tech, or fill out our project form — we typically respond the same day, seven days a week.

What are your hours?

Seven days a week, 7:00am to 7:00pm Eastern — weekends included. We answer the phone during those hours and respond to messages the same day. Genuine emergencies outside those hours — a business network down, a site offline — are worth calling about anyway; we'd rather you did.

Do you sign a contract?

For a project of any size, yes — you get a written scope of work listing exactly what's included, the price, and the timeline, and nothing starts until you've approved it. Our Terms & Conditions are the standing agreement that sits behind that (payment, cancellation, refunds, ownership, warranty), and your scope of work is the specific one. Small jobs like a single repair don't need a separate document — you get the quote in writing before we start, and the Terms cover the rest.

Who actually shows up, and will my job be subcontracted?

Your work is performed by Little Technical Solutions LLC. If a job ever needs a specialist we'd bring in from outside — a licensed electrician for an in-wall run, for instance — we tell you before it happens, not after, and it never happens without your say-so. You'll always know who is coming to your home or office before they arrive.

What happens to my files and passwords during a repair?

We look at what the job requires and nothing else — no browsing your files, photos, email, or messages. We avoid needing your passwords wherever possible; where one is genuinely required we ask you to enter it yourself or change it afterwards, and we never store it. Any data temporarily copied off a device during a repair is deleted once you've confirmed everything is back in place. For on-site work you're welcome to stay in the room the whole time, and we'd honestly prefer it. The full policy is in our Privacy Policy, section 6A.

Website Projects

What's the difference between the Starter and Business website packages?

Starter covers up to 5 pages with the essentials — contact form, mobile-responsive design, and basic SEO. Business covers up to 10 pages plus advanced features like individual service pages, booking, testimonials, FAQ, and a blog. See the full package comparison for the exact breakdown.

How long does a website project take?

It depends on scope, but most Starter sites are completed in 1–2 weeks and Business sites in 2–4 weeks once we have your content and any photos. Timelines are confirmed upfront before work begins.

Do you offer revisions?

Yes — one revision round is included on the Starter package and two on the Business package, so you can request changes before final launch.

What happens after my site launches?

You get 30 days of post-launch support on Starter and 60 days on Business. After that, ongoing maintenance and hosting assistance is available as a monthly subscription if you want it.

I'm not in Virginia — can you still build my site?

Yes. Website design is 100% remote from first call to launch. Your location doesn't matter for this service.

Pricing & Payment

How does payment work? Do I have to pay everything upfront?

No. Website projects are split 50/50 — half to get started, half at launch once you've seen the finished site and signed off on it. You are never asked to pay for a whole project before you've seen anything. Repairs, installs, and setups are billed when the work is done, not before. Payment goes through our secure Square payment page; subscriptions bill monthly through Square. Full detail is in our Terms, section 3.

Is the diagnostic really free?

Yes, with no asterisk. We'll tell you what we think is wrong and what it'll cost to fix, and if you decide not to go ahead you owe us nothing. Billable time only starts once you've approved a quote.

What if the fix doesn't hold?

Our labor is warrantied for 30 days. If the specific problem we were paid to fix comes back within that window, we return and re-do the work with no labor charge. That covers our workmanship — not unrelated new problems, hardware that dies on its own, or parts, which carry their manufacturer's warranty. See Terms, section 6A.

Can I get a refund?

Cancel before we start and your deposit comes back in full, less any transaction fee our processor has already taken. Cancel partway through and we refund the portion covering work not yet done — and we'll show you that breakdown in writing so it isn't just our word for it. After delivery, tell us within 30 days if something wasn't done as agreed and we'll either fix it at no charge or refund that portion. See Terms, section 4.

Is there a trip charge?

Not within our on-site service area — Montross, Colonial Beach, King George, and Dahlgren. Travel beyond that is quoted upfront before you commit, and if you're too far out for it to make financial sense we'll tell you that instead of taking the job.

If you build my site, who owns it?

It depends which way you buy, and we tell you which before you pay — never after.

Buy it outright (our Starter and Business packages): once the project is paid for, the files, source code and design are yours. Host them with us, host them anywhere, or hand them to another developer. Nothing expires and nothing switches off.

Subscription plans (Basic, Standard, Pro): you pay a small deposit and a monthly fee, and we own the build and license it to you while you're subscribed. That's the trade for the low upfront cost — and if you cancel, the site goes offline. It isn't rent-to-own. You can buy it outright at any time, and everything you've already paid comes off the buy-out price.

Whichever you pick, your scope of work states the ownership terms in writing before you pay a cent. See our Terms, section 9.

What happens if I cancel a website subscription?

We stop hosting and deploying the site, and it goes offline. We'll always tell you in writing before that happens — nothing goes dark without warning.

What you keep regardless: your domain, your content (text, photos, logo, anything you gave us or added yourself), and your business data including every enquiry the site collected. Those are yours on any plan, in any circumstance, at no charge.

On the domain specifically: if you already owned it, we never had control of it and nothing changes. If we registered it for you, it was in your name from day one — we were just covering the renewal. You get at least 30 days' written notice and instructions before we stop paying it, so you have time to take over billing. After that it's yours to renew or let go, and we won't renew it for ourselves or hand it to anyone else.

If you'd rather keep the site, tell us and we'll quote the buy-out instead — what the build would have cost as a one-off project, less everything you've already paid.

What is the American Heroes Discount?

A 15% discount on one-time services (5% on recurring/subscription services) for active duty military, veterans, teachers, first responders, doctors, TSA agents, police, firefighters, and Virginia FFL holders. See Heroes Discount for eligibility and verification details.

Are your prices the final price?

The prices on our pricing page are accurate starting points for typical jobs. Parts, extensive repairs, and larger custom projects are quoted individually and always confirmed with you before work begins — no surprise line items.
